More SWTOR F2P Changes Made

Star Wars: The Old Republic brought more changes to its free-to-play model yesterday thanks to player feedback, and there are still more tweaks slated for the future.

With yesterday’s patch, Preferred Status players will now be given 4 Quickbars by default, up from the 2 previously allowed those who are former subscribers, or have spent $5 or more in the Cartel Market.  Players who had already purchased Quickbars with Cartel Coins should expect those coins refunded in the shop.

Bioware also announced that in a yet to be determined upcoming patch, Preferred Status players would receive additional character slots, for a total of 4 by default, and that subscribers would see an increase in the amount of total active characters an account can have in the game, which is currently capped at 50.  (May the force be with you if you need more than 50)

Executive Producer Jeff Hickman says that the company is keeping an ear to the ground for player feedback, and encourages the community to continue offering suggestions for what they’d like to see from F2P moving forward.

  1. This design is wicked! You certainly know how to keep a
reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own
blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Excellent job. I really loved what you had to say, and more
than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
