There is an update on Star Trek Online about them now accepting applications for the closed beta testing. The closed beta testing is said to being later this year. You can apply by filling out this web form. People who have purchanged life-time or 6-month subscriptions with Champions Online, another Cryptic Studios game, are already guaranteed access to the clsoed beta and do not need to apply.
The game is being published by Cryptic Studios owner Atari and does not have an official release date yet.
