New Funcom Studio Opens In Montréal

Funcom, the developers of Anarchy Online, Age of Conan: Hyborean Adventures and the upcoming The Secret World, both of which you will hear more about from The MMO Gamer’s PAX 2009 coverage, announced today the opening of a new development studio in Montréal. The studio will be their second in North America including the one in Durham, USA.
Besides talent, the region’s incentive programs are given as a reason for starting the studio. The studio is referred to specifically as an “MMO games studio” and it is being said that the Montréal studio will play an important role in the development of Funcom’s current projects; Age of Conan expansion Rise of the Godslayer and The Secret World.
