It’s going to be another exciting year at the Austin GDC this year. Included as keynote speakers this year are Lane Merrifield of Club Penguin, Mel Guymon of Lively by Google, and Sony Audio Manager Jason Page. If you haven’t noticed by the speakers mentioned above, a big portion of this years GDC is themed toward MMO’s and their infusion with social networks.
Also a topic at this year’s Austin GDC 2008 is going to be market trends when it comes to payment methods for the MMO genre, including a panel with Nexon’s Min Kim, From Development to Launch: the Keys to Building a Successful Free-to-Play MMO.
Also on hand will be plenty of “local” style games from the Texas area. I’m sure it will be another great time for all interested in the MMO genre!
