Age of Conans Update 6 Sneak Peak
Funcom’s communications director Erling Ellingsen dropped us a note today to let us know about Game Director Craig Morrison’s latest Letter from the Game Director. The letter, addressing the community, goes into to give a sneak peak of Age of Conan’s upcoming Update 6, which currently does not have a release date.
Update 6 will contain a slew of new gameplay features for guilds. Guilds will be able to acquire renown points through a myriad of actions carried out by the members of the guild. Sieges between guilds will earn renown, but also other actions such as crafting, questing and general monster hunting. Guilds will be ranked, and rankings will be visible in the game. This will add more competition between guilds, and we hope that it will get players even more involved in guild gameplay!
Age of Conan recently had a re-evalutation period which just ended and although Ellingsen didn’t go into detail of the results of the re-evaluation period, he did make this statement:
Re-evaluation is now closed, but of course, we still have players currently playing out their re-evaluation period. The results of the campaign are really good with server activity booming, and entire guilds have made their return to the game. The feedback from returning players has been really good so far, and it seems that the game’s massive changes since launch is making a big difference for them. We’re very excited to see the renewed interest among former players!
