Game Domain International and Virgin Interactive announced today that they are currently accepting beta applications for their A World Of My Own (AWOMO) game delivery service. AWOMO is billed as a “game digital delivery service embedded within a 3D ‘virtual world’ island paradise for gamers, in which launching a game is as simple as walking into a building.” According to the official Web site, AWOMO will allow gamers to rapidly download games and play them almost instantly. Presently it is unknown what titles will be available via the AWOMO service.
AWOMO is scheduled to be launched Summer 2007. You may apply to enter their beta test by visiting http://www.gdi-gametest.com/BETA-TEST-SIGN-UP.56.0.html.
