Stargate Worlds Now Accepting Beta Applications

As the sun sets on The Sims Online, the sun is rising for Stargate Worlds.

Unless my eyes do deceive me, it would seem that the large glowing “APPLY FOR BETA NOW” button on the game’s homepage indicates that they are ready, or nearly ready, to begin letting outside testers get a glimpse of the game and offer up their feedback on it.

So says Dan Elggren, Stargate Worlds head of studio:

“A game is nothing without players. We’re fired up to finally get our game in the hands of the community. We’re at the point where we need external testers to take Stargate Worlds to the finish line. Our devoted fans have helped guide us for more than two years through our forums. Together, we’re going to craft a balanced, polished, and most of all, fun game.”

If you’ve often found yourself dreaming of a game which would allow you to follow in the footsteps of MacGyver to visit strange and uncharted civilizations, and, presumably, blow them to smithereens with your machine gun, your day has finally come.
