It’s funny, how often does the selling of one property, lead to the announcement of quite a few more? Interplay as many of you know, is making a comeback. Along with new installments of Earthworm Jim, MDK, Descent, and others, they also reminded us all that as part of their deal with Bethesda for the FalloutFallout reviewsFallout reviews franchise, that they are again looking for investors to start working on the Fallout MMO. Part of the original deal was that while they sold the franchise to Bethesda, they receive a special license to create the Fallout MMO at Interplay.

While I honestly never had a chance to play the older Fallout titles (I was too busy playing EverrQuest), all I hear is love for the series and the atomic fallout 50’s theme is something that would defintely appeal to me amid today’s fantasy MMOs. I’m sure some of you readers have had the chance to play the old Fallout’s, either when they were released or after the announcement of Fallout 3, what are some ideas from the series that you would like to see make the jump to the MMO?

I think Fallout would have the potential to be an awesome MMO. The sword & sorcery genre has been done to death frankly, and it would nice to have a fresh setting and background. I also would love to see a skill based character system as opposed to the cookie cutter leveling system that someone, somewhere has decided is needed in MMO's.

Got something to say?
