Blizzard Releases Their Second Blizzcast Podcast

Blizzard released their second episode of their new in-house Podcast, Blizzcast last week. Among the topics covered was an interview with Chris Metzen, and details on the coming changes to the Magtherion encounter in 2.4. A little WOTLC info was able to be gleamed from their Q & A section, including on how itemization in WOTLC might change.

When asked if Seal and Judgement of Command might be changed to suit the changes they recently made to the Paladin Retribution Tree, they said it would along with other changes, such as with WOLTC, Blizzard is going to be pushing different classes and different specs of classes towards using the same type of gear, such as Paladins using more warrior type gear.  I guess creating so many different sets of gear for so many classes and different specs per class became overwhelming.  They go on to say that they want to alleviate the ” Oh man that loot isn’t specifically for me” that a lot of people see.

This is interesting information as it could possibly represent a significant change in itemization and class/talent customization. Check out the rest of the podcast for some Starcraft 2 info, as well as even more WoW tidbits.
